纪要

Born in Osaka, he graduated from the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts, where he went on to complete both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He then moved to the United States, earning an Artist Diploma

from The Juilliard School.

As a soloist, he has appeared with orchestras such as the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Pascal Verrot and has given numerous recitals in cities including New York, Tokyo, and Osaka.

A highly regarded chamber musician, he has collaborated with many acclaimed artists, earning recognition for his artistic excellence and exceptional musical partnership. His long-standing collaboration with renowned cellist Mari Fujiwara, which began in 1996, has resulted in over 250 performances together.

In 2008, he released a recording featuring Beethoven’s Piano Trio “Gassenhauer”  (Octavia Records / OVCX00042).

His principal teachers include Reiko Shiba, Tamio Yabe, Yoshie Takara, Takako Horie, and Martin Canin, and he studied chamber music with Samuel Sanders, Jonathan Feldman, and Charles Neidich.

He is currently a Professor at Miyagi University of Education.
